It is noncirculating coin that was launched in commemoration of the white-tailed eagle. It belongs to the gold coin series known as the Orzeł Bielik.

The eagle’s beak is also open and the head facing to the left. The inscription, “RZECZPOSPOLITA POLSKA” runs clockwise from the left-middle edge and towards the bottom-right corner. The year and face value are inscribed anticlockwise at the bottom of the coin.

The three denominations of the Poland Gold Bald Eagle have similar reverse features. For instance, the all have the image of the white-tailed eagle in rest mode facing to the left and taking up almost 75 percent of the reverse. The gold fineness value, “9999” is indicated to the right behind the lower back of the eagle. Right below the eagle, the texts, “1/10 UNCJI”, “1/4 UNCJI”, and “1/2 UNCJI” appear on the 50, 100, and 200 denominations. The inscription, “CZYSTEGO ZŁOTA” features commonly on all the denominations below the “UNCJI” text.
